I live in Durham Bridge, where my family has a farm with lots and lots of horses. I am passionate about travel, and helping people. In fact, my goal is to graduate from medical school to volunteer with Doctors Without Borders. To make that dream a reality, I’m going to University of Moncton in the fall to get my “Diplôme en Sciences de la Santé (D.S.S)”, a two-year pre-medical program. My hope is that I develop a greater sense of community this summer, with the help of this job at the TCA, and to have a positive impact on the place where I grew up. Tell us your story about how post-tropical storm Arthur affected you! Do you remember post-tropical storm Arthur? The July 2014 extreme weather event left 195,000 households without power for as much as a few days to two weeks because winds of 100 km/hour and heavy rain knocked down trees and power lines. The Conservation Council of New Brunswick is conducting research to better understand our community's ability to get things done, create opportunities and respond to challenges such as those faced by Arthur. By telling us your personal experiences with post-tropical storm Arthur you are helping us to better understand our community capacity to adapt to a changing climate, which could bring about more events similar to post-tropical storm Arthur. Follow this link to share your story with us. Sharing your story implies your consent to use your data in our study. The responses provided will be completely anonymous.
